Adding effects to FL Studio on Youtube
Adding VST effects in FL Studio
Mixing is an important step that is sometimes ignored in the beat making process. A great mix can set your beats a part from the competition and in order to do this you will need some quality effects. There are a large amount of different types of effects to accomplish different tasks. Some common types of effects include EQ, compression, limiters, reverb, delay, stereo widener, multi-band compression, and many more.
How do we approach adding VST effects in FL Studio
Adding VST effects in FL Studio is similar to add virtual instruments. The steps are very similar. The difference between this and virtual instruments is where you add them. The first thing you will do is pull up the FL Studio mixer. On the right hand side of the mixer you will see effect slots to add effects to. Simply click on the first effect slot as if you were adding an effect. Once you do this you will see the option to “add more” as you did when adding new virtual instruments. After clicking that you should be able to locate the new effect in the list and place a check mark next to it so it will become available. If it is not there than you need to click refresh. If it still doesn’t show up after clicking refresh than you may need to check that the effect is in the right folder. You can check this in FL Studio’s general settings.
