Converting loops to piano roll notes
Loops can be great for gathering inspiration and ideas for making new beats and productions. However, sometimes you may want to use part of a loops or maybe change it up a little bit. The problem is that loops are audio files which can be edited like midi scores can be in the FL Studio piano roll. In this tutorial we show you how to get around this.
Creating midi scores with loops
In this tutorial you will learn how to convert loops and audio samples that can be played in the piano roll as midi scores. You can then take these midi scores created from the loops and convert them to be played in your choice of virtual instrument or synth. You will also have the option to transpose the notes and create new melodies and chords as you wish.
Edison in FL Studio
In order to do this you will need to load up Edison in FL Studio. This can be added by going to the mixer and assigning edison to a plug-in slot. Once you have done that Edison will load. After Edison is loaded pull your loop into it by dragging and dropping from windows explorer. From the tools menu you will then notice an option to convert it to a score.
