Dragging audio files into the FL Studio playlist
Dragging audio files into the FL Studio playlist is a great way to get loops, audio, beat tags, and more into FL Studio. This tutorial will show you how to perform this task. Sometimes its better to bring audio files into FL Studio by dragging and dropping them into the playlist. This method comes in handy when you want to quickly bring in a file for editing. I find this method most useful when adding beat tags and transition effects to beats.
Adding transitions and beat tags with drag and drop
Near the ending stages of the beat making process it is time to add your transitions and beat tags. Open windows explorer and find your tags and transition effects such as reversed cymbals and sweeps. Select the file you want to bring into FL Studio. Next, drag and drop that file directly into the playlist near where you want it to be. Once you have it in the FL Studio playlist you can move it to the exact location you want to place it. I like this method opposed to adding it directly to the sequencer and creating a pattern for transition effects and tags. In these scenarios its easier to work directly with the audio file opposed to a pattern.
