How to create voice tags for beats
Vocal tags are used to protect beats from being stolen without proper credit. They are also used as a form of branding for a producer. If you are producer and want to protect your work then you need to properly tag your beats.
In the FL Studio tutorial above we show you how easy it is to create a simple beat tag for your beats. For some reason a lot of producers think that creating a beat tag is a difficult task. Some producers even pay to have someone record a beat tag for them.
If you are a producer on a budget or just have some basic audio editing skills you can quickly create your own quality vocal tag. In order to record a vocal tag you will need to have a microphone. Connect the microphone to FL Studio and set it up to record.
Your vocal tag can be anything you want it to be. A lot of producers just do a name drop. Some producers do a voice tag for their beats with their website in it. I recommend coming up with a couple of different tags at least so they are not as tedious for the listener to hear.
Once you create the recording of your vocal tag you are read to edit it. In the tutorial above we edited the vocal tag using Edison in FL Studio. The first step in the process was chopping it to only contain the audio of the vocal tag.
The next step is to then ad some effects to it to spice it up a little. Any combination of effects can be used to create a quality beat tag. In the tutorial above I used chorus, delay, and soundgoodizer. Try different effects until you are happy with the recording. You may even want to try overdubbing the vocal tag to thicken it up a little.
